Potential of biological agents (Pseudomonas sp.) in plastic waste biodegradation process

نویسندگان

چکیده

Pseudomonas sp. can degrade plastics because it has an inducible operon system that produces certain enzymes (esterase, serine, hydrolase, and lipase) in the process of carbon source metabolism. The purpose this study was to determine potential as a plastic biodegradation agent. This research method is systematic literature review which carried out by collecting, understanding, analyzing concluding many 30 national international journal articles published from 2008 2022 several search engines such Google Scholar, Ncbi, Sinta, Plos one with keywords degrading microorganisms plastic. steps were made samples be used, tested bacterial isolation, filtered bacteria, bacteria within specified time period looking at % loss before treatment. results analysis showed able around 2-19% utilizing will convert addition condensation polymers into simple molecules monomers, dimers oligomers during inventory 1-3 months. Thus, form decompose waste naturally faster than other methods does not cause adverse effects.

Biodegradation of 2,4-dinitrotoluene by a Pseudomonas sp.

Previous studies of the biodegradation of nonpolar nitroaromatic compounds have suggested that microorganisms can reduce the nitro groups but cannot cleave the aromatic ring. We report here the initial steps in a pathway for complete biodegradation of 2,4-dinitrotoluene (DNT) by a Pseudomonas sp. isolated from a four-member consortium enriched with DNT. The Pseudomonas sp. degraded DNT as the s...

Biodegradation of Linear Alkylbenzene Sulfonate (LAS) by Immobilized Pseudomonas sp

Anionic surfactants are the most widely exploited chemical surfactants, which are being incorporated into majority of detergents and cleaning products used for household and industrial applications. Linear alkylbenzene sulfonates (LAS) is one of the major xenobiotic anionic surfactants. Biodegradation is an effective process to reduce the amount of surfactants released in the environment. In th...

Biodegradation of naphthalene by free and alginate entrapped Pseudomonas sp.

Naphthalene degradation by freely suspended and immobilized cells of Pseudomonas sp. isolated from contaminated effluents has been investigated in batch cultures and continuously in a packed bed reactor. Naphthalene concentration was varied from 25 mM to 75 mM, the temperature (30 degrees C) and pH (7.0) were kept constant. The results showed good acclimation of the strain to carbon source and ...

Peroxyl radicals are potential agents of lignin biodegradation.

Past work has shown that the extracellular manganese-dependent peroxidases (MnPs) of ligninolytic fungi degrade the principal non-phenolic structures of lignin when they peroxidize unsaturated fatty acids. This reaction is likely to be relevant to ligninolysis in sound wood, where enzymes cannot penetrate, only if it employs a small, diffusible lipid radical as the proximal oxidant of lignin. H...
